Thank you for visiting my shop! My name is Sarah and I am a visual artist from the US living in Barcelona since 2016. The name of my design initiative Pillar and Pendulum comes from a quote by the writer Rebecca Solnit's book on the history of walking called Wanderlust where she uses this image to describe the way our legs alternatively function as a sort of pillar and swings as a pendulum to step and continue moving forward. I grew up walking and hiking and being in nature remains an important inspiration for my drawing and paintings.
