My paintings are spell work in visual form. Using a variety of imagery, symbols, color and design, I create artworks that call forth specific energies. I paint with intention, so the process of each painting becomes a prayer. While the particular symbols in my work may be drawn from global cultures, personal experience, or other sources, they are chosen for their meaning and resonance, bringing healing, luck, or other energy into the world.

I plan a painting from the inside out, first allowing my creative unconscious to lead in laying the foundation for a work. From there, I move forward very deliberately and spend time on the smallest of details that create the final composition and complete the painting. My work is primarily oil on cradled hardboard. Many pieces include a variety of mixed media, such as lace, feathers, doll hair, and glitter. I love to experiment and include whatever media each painting needs to enhance the beauty of creation.

Through my artistic process, each painting becomes a power object – a physical object infused with intention that will continue to invoke new energy in my life and the environment of my collectors.
