Sara Lap-hang Lung is a digital illustrator based in Chicago, IL with a plethora of interests. Originally steeped in traditional media like graphite, color pencil, and oil paints, her recent foray into marketing design has spurred a new interest in vector-based graphic design. Though she has been putting scribbly pen to paper since before she could talk, her world changed when she began illustrating digitally in 2010. Her work is often marked by her vivid and surreal use of color, which allow her to explore the nuances and transgressions between purported dichotomies. She has most recently earned her master's of science in biomedical visualizations at the University of Illinois Chicago, applying her skill for tying together seemingly-unlike fields to illustrate and design visuals for complex medical topics to advance science and health communications to a wide variety of audiences.
