Venezuelan designer, Sigal Cohen Wolkowiez is the sole creative force behind her namesake label SIGAL, a Resortwear brand based in Miami, FL.

Her visual language is informed by the bright lights, lush nature, and Latin music of her birth city of Caracas​. This, combined with the influence from her adopted hometown of Miami, has led to the creation of her signature Tropical Maximalism.

Sigal has a vast library of artworks. From tropical prints and botanical watercolor, to florals, sea life and sea shells to mystical motifs. The common denominator is her bold use of color and strong brush strokes.

The artist begins the creation of each print with acrylic or marker ink on paper. Inspired by simplistic sights including marine life and tropical flowers, and enriched by her personal library of references, Sigal transforms the everyday element of her life into an imaginary universe of color and textiles.
