Welcome to the Art Gallery of Stephen Emms - I live in Thunder Bay, Northwestern Ontario, Canada. I have been fortunate to live in beautiful locations and work outdoors as a Fish and Wildlife Technician and Conservation Officer (Game Warden). My focus is watercolour painting and photography of the natural environment around us, particularly Northern Ontario, with Lake Superior an inspiration. While I sell artwork and take on commissioned work, my work is created for pleasure and well-being. Nothing gives me more self-gratification than producing a piece of art or a photograph that captures the scene I have witnessed and brings it to life for others to experience. To that end, I travel throughout the region, seeking out locations that inspire, suggest harmony, and get into focus on a world we too often take for granted.
