I was born and raised in a small surf city in Portugal, where the sun shines most of the year and people have a deep connection with the ocean. That wonderful feeling you get when you feel the sun on your skin and you can smell the ocean breeze, became the inspiration for my illustrations. Since I currently live in the not so sunny city of Amsterdam, I try to create a little bit of summer through my work.

While studying architecture, I was instructed to use hand drawing as an elementary tool. I was taught to connect my brain with my hand and draw faster than I think. This allowed me to sharpen my drawing technique and refine my style with architectural precision.
