By the end of 2020 I became absolutely hooked on the creative process of acrylic pouring, not to mention the various interesting results. I had been searching for a colorful and abstract form of expression, though the color possibility was the initial attention grabber. Equally wonderful is the totally spontaneous and lucky pieces that resemble cosmic creatures such as dragons, birds, and fish, animals being a favorite subject of mine from my other media, graphite. Flame effects as well as water-like droplets, cells, webbing/lacing, and what may be described as stars or flakes of snow may also occur. Because of my new art love, I find myself in a bit brighter world, my own form of a morning jolt ( great as I deplore mornings!) And at the end of a mundane or stressful day I can gaze at what I have created and my heart is lightened, and with any luck I can bring this same sense to someone else.
