Seattle native, Kathryn Hagy, has been working in digital photography and printmaking media since 1999. The rainy, misty Seattle skies serve as inspiration for much of her work. In the Pacific Northwest, it’s possible to drive within two hours from the edge of salty Puget Sound to mountain passes, so she was attuned from an early age to natural phenomena within a range of climate zones, particularly related to water.
She earned her Master’s degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and has exhibited her work nationally (in the U.S.) and internationally in venues such as the International Print Center New York, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp Belgium, and the Siddhartha Art Gallery in Kathmandu Nepal.
