Paint Peel Paintings inspired by my family life of growing up on tour, traveling the world surrounded by magic, costumes, showgirls, models, exotic animals, and abstract landscapes.

Tatiana Hantig (b.1983) is a first generation American-Czech photographer and painter with a focus in paint peel arts. Raised abroad with her parents show production, The Fercos Untamed Illusions, she toured throughout her childhood and adult life to locations such as Asia, Europe, North and South Americas.

Her experiences growing up was a fantastical combination of raising exotic felines, constant travel living in hotels, motels and trailer tours, as well as being surrounded by performers of all types. Throughout their travels, Las Vegas was a place to call home.

Hantig attended the University of Las Vegas, Nevada where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Art Photography. Her paintings and photography have taken her to ArtPrize in Michigan multiple times, numerous gallery shows in Las Vegas, and over a dozen public murals for Clark County, Nevada for the ZAP! Project. She was one of the top 6 winners for ArtPop Street Gallery in 2017. She currently resides in the state of Oregon.

Paint Peeling is a form of painting where acrylic paints are applied on a surface with highlights first with background last. Painting backwards and in layers is a time consuming process that requires patience and dedication. Painting in this style permits paint to seep, crack and wrinkle creating a loss of control and allows for abstract elements to come forth.
