The Black Painted Tank Top began in 2020 when Artist and New Jersey Native, Alana Brown decided to turn her hobby into her passion. She utilized painting as a tool to find self and create pieces that will last a lifetime. The significance of The Black Painted Tank Top is that everytime she would create she would wear this piece as if it was her paint smock.

Transitioning to digital art/illustration, Alana found it more intriguing to create beautiful timeless pieces while also being sustainable for the environment and learning new techniques within the art community. Her digital illustrations are created and inspired by Black Women of all shades, shapes and sizes and loves to heavily emphasize the beauty we possess.
