Konnichiwa!

My name is Sydney, I am the creator of The Little Kokeshi. I am a half-Japanese mom of two gorgeous little girls, and wife to my partner in crime. After attending school for Baking and Pastry arts and spending sometime in the industry, I decided to transition into finance as it better suited my goals of starting a family. I haven't let the experience gained from school go to waste! With a little help from my toddler we create delicious treats for friends and family

Now that I am a Mama of two, I have decided to take the passion I have for my heritage and the beauty that the Japanese culture has to offer and express that through origami. My Great-Aunt has spent five decades perfecting this technique and has shared it with me. I am so grateful that I get to utilize some of her incredible creativity by using some of the patterns that she has designed, along with my own, to inspire The Little Kokeshi.
