My name is T.D. Ruley. I'm the sole proprietor behind UnCommonTom. I have been an artist ever since I can remember. When I was young I drew cartoons. Still do, actually. I even used to have a short-lived, self-published comic book, WFUS. It sold well, but my interest was waning in drawing cartoons. I was beginning to learn computer graphics. After a couple of years, I then jumped into 3D and haven't looked back. Using 3D art, I was able to grasp the better concepts of light and shadow, all with a better understanding of perspective and depth. Now and then, I dabble in other software to increase my abilities in the graphic design field, but my mainstay is 3D design. My work has been likened to great artists like Escher, Geiger, and Dali, all of whom I have tried to emulate over the years. Of course, I only hope to scratch the surface of such greatness, and make a name for myself.
