ARTIST: TENZIN THARDOE was born in a refugee settlement in Bylakuppe, south India. He came to the US with his family in 1993 when he was 11 years old. After graduating from high school in Madison, Wisconsin, he returned to India to study traditional Buddhist thangka painting in Dharamsala, the city where the Dalai Lama resides. He has always loved drawing, especially American comics, Japanese anime and character drawing.
