My inspiration for all things is nature. It is where I can recharge from all of the other pursuits I have involved myself in. I love the colors, the textures, the sounds and the smells, well, most of them. My photography allows me to slow down and notice every leaf, or raindrop, or pattern in the shadows. In addition to taking photos of rocks and mosses, I am a mother of 3 human girls, food giver to 5 cats (4 furred, 1 hairless), I make jams and canned delights under the name Kate Starr’s Jam Sessions, and I make and record music with my husband in an outfit we call Kate and Jerry.
