Most of my pieces start as freeform alcohol inks which, like life, I have limited control over! I then edit them using computer aided techniques and form them into a modern inspired composition. I like to think of the art I create as a metaphor for the positive influence our surroundings can have on us - a juxtaposition between natural and man made forms to create something beautiful and with hidden detail. The name Geode Creative is derived from one of my childhood memories of my mum surprising me with "a boring rock" with "an exciting inside" - it's inspiring to look for beauty in the ordinary.
