Hi there! My name is Emily Peterson, the artist behind Transatlantic Chic Studios. I am a native Ohioan, I also lived in England and now I call New Hampshire my home with my husband and 2 kids. I like to consider myself a quirky old soul who is consumed with wanderlust. I started painting in 2006 and I am completely self taught. Many of my pieces are inspired by my travels near and far. I have an obsession with natural colors and textures and am always trying to find ways to incorporate those aspects into my pieces. My hopes are that when you look at my art you feel a sense of wonder and nostalgia. I want my viewers to escape to another time and place- if only for just a moment in time.
