Hey there!

My name is Tulay Yilmaz. I am an artist raised in Turkey but am now based in the US.

My early memories of art involve my mom’s adorable, perfectly round headed kids with bangs, my dad’s charcoal horse drawings and my brother’s hilarious stick figure flipbook animations.

The spark of interest I got from these wonderful people I call family led me into a world filled with colored pencils, gouache paints, and felt-tip pens. This interest blossomed in college when I met scientific botanical illustration.

Since then, I have become a watercolor enthusiast and am particularly fond of wet-on-wet technique. That said I remain interested in any and every method/media/subject out there.
