“Twinkle” Marie Manning’s art has been influenced by many artists over the years. Guda, Hildegard von Bingen. Johanna Daemen , Hilma af Klint, Joan Mitchell, Lee Krasner, Elaine de Kooning, Perle Fine, Michael West, Alma Thomas, Mary Abbott, Jay DeFeo, Sonia Gechtoff, Grace Hartigan, Judith Godwin, Lenore Thomas Straus, Sue Hoya Sellars, Shiloh Sophia, Sue Feathers, Helen Stevens, Siri Smedvig, Meganne Forbes, Molly Remer, Flora Bowley, Nicole Cromwell, and many more.
Twinkle’s work is intuitive by nature, often taking on abstract, expressionist, and mystical forms. Today, she works most often in acryllic on canvas. She has created many watercolors and inks as well as pencil and clay works. She is a former member of the PEI Potters Guild in Canada and the NSB Artist Workshop society in Florida. She currently resides on majestic Moosehead Lake in Maine.
