Hello, my professional name is Vane Driscoll, an artist and writer from Western Massachusetts. Early on in life, I use to draw trees all the time. I found myself always drawn to the simplicity as well as the complex structure of trees, no matter where I was. I was most fond of the older trees, and always found my curious imagination running away with me, daydreaming about the world that had revolved around them for hundreds of years. Growing up, I found myself like most others, lost in having a family, building a career and such. It wasn’t until my grandson Alder’s (Ironically, he was named after the Alder tree!) 15th Birthday, after I discovered I forgot to buy him a card, when the thought came across to me to draw him one, with an Alder tree.... and this journey began...
