Vicki began painting Turkish flowers after a trip to Istanbul in 2006. “When I first came back, I had an obsession with the beautiful floral Suzani tapestries and the amazing Iznik tiles found everywhere in Turkey. I wanted to bring the art form here, and began experimenting with painting them on canvas in Acrylics.” Vicki’s art captures the stunning colors of middle eastern art and the intricate designs that are so unique to that part of the world.
