Thanks for checking out my art! My name is Victoria. Art has always been important to me, but my first serious artistic focus was photography, which began in 2008. Several years later, I realized that photography had become my way of processing the things I was going through in my life. At the time, I didn’t know how to verbally articulate and process life, so I took pictures instead. Robert Hayden said, "Art is not escape, but a way of finding order in chaos, a way of confronting life." That is what photography was to me: finding order in the chaos, and finding beauty in the ordinary.

Recently I have begun to process life and express myself through other mediums of art such as poetry. I had actually written poetry for years… but I never called it that! I just wrote what was on my heart, and it turns out it’s something the experts call free verse poetry. It has become one of the many ways I “find order in the chaos.” I also enjoy videography, lettering, and other kinds of visual art.
