I am a "Australia's First Nation People" and I grew up in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia since 1969, born in Brisbane 1968, youngest out of 5. Our Great Grandmother was taken when she was around 9-10 with three other girls of the same age from the Robinson River and the Nicholson River situated in the Gulf of Carpenterior Northern Australia (stolen generation), and walked them 1800km to Mitchell, middle of Qld, and then shunted elsewhere. I paint my Great Grandmother's totems,"White Crane, Emu, from the Gurrawa Tribe, and paint my Grandfathers Totem, The Wedgetail Eagle from Burragum Tribe QLD. I paint similar to my respected uncle, "Bless Him, but can never paint like him.
