Costumer, performance artist, online content creator, fashionista, mask enthusiast, philosopher, and transgender woman out of the closet since 2019, Emma Scott Lavin describes herself as a "hopeless utopian with shiny object syndrome, herself the shiny object most of the time." Since recently emerging as her authentic self, she has been exploring the outer limits of themes such as identity, power, sensuality, beauty, religion, and utopian/dystopian possibilities through conceptual self-portraiture. Her works express as much through what is hidden as through what is visible.
