Hi, my name is Kaitlin Waldera and I am an emerging artist residing in Minnesota. After growing up in MN and getting a liberal arts education I became interested in how art and science interact. Nature, Biology and Anatomy are my most influential inspirations. A lot of my work while seeming abstract are inspired by our anatomy. I love how the patterns or tree branches mimic rivers, cracks, veins (human and leaf), and even brain cells. Whenever I go on a vacation I end up taking the same pictures everywhere I go because texture captivates me. I can't tell you how many pictures of lichen or tree bark I have taken.
