Willie Four Milli, also known as Will Hoffman is a Canadian visual artist and music producer. He was born in Penticton and has lived in Whitehorse, Halifax, Kelowna and now Vancouver. He is known for his trademark rhythmic doodle art style. Recently he has stepped into music production as well.
After a night of partying Will and his friends launched off an embankment in a car accident that nearly killed them in 2007. After being discharged from the hospital, Will started doodling as a way to work through the trauma and give it meaning. Armed with this new compulsion to doodle he was mentored by SEAZ ONE in graffiti writing in 2008 and later took instruction by SNUF in 2009. In the years since he has sold over 100 original drawings on the street and landed a solo exhibition at Penticton Art Gallery in 2011. In an ever expanding effort to take the doodle to new heights he enrolled into UBC Okanagan's Visual Arts BFA program from 2017-2019.
After a decade of uncompromising visual art, firmly refusing to 'sell out' and start painting landscapes or pictures of the Eiffel tower, Will decided to venture into an art form where he felt he could compromise a little, music production. Beat making provided a wellspring of opportunities so he decided to double down on it for fun but also for artistic survival.
When Will was living with the trauma caused by the car accident, he introduced himself to the world as 'Will', a protective mechanism to know who his real friends were, to keep the outside from coming in, getting too close. Now he has rebranded himself, reclaiming his childhood name "Willie", as well as "Four Milli" a rising trajectory. Willie Four Milli is currently producing for the band Croc Pot and resides in Vancouver with his girlfriend Maki.
